Room's Three and Four Have Begun Planting

Today Room's Three and Four planted Tomato Seeds. One variety was called Moneymaker. Hopefully we do make some money for the Gala. 

We decided that this kind of container may make a great little hot house, so if you have any around that are spare, we would love to use them.

Big Jim's Garden Center

We had a great visit to Big Jim's on Monday. The children learnt the process of planting seeds into trays as well as an easy way to transplant seedlings. Room 3 wish to Thank our parents for giving up their time to make the visit possible and Vince for sharing his knowledge with us especially as it was his busy sale week.

Maui and the Sun

Okoare Pa Site

Yesterday Rooms three and four went to look at the Okoare pa site, up the hill beside Frankley School. Mr Ritai came with us and shard his knowledge of this place.

Today Room three did a PMI about this pa site.

Today Room 3 discussed their new task. As our learning will be all about painting techniques, wearing older clothes to school could be a good option.

Today we had a fabulous visit to Puke Ariki. We were learning about the Tangata Whenua.

These wonderful role models were not very happy about the way our environment was being left. They then decided to make a positive difference and picked up all of the rubbish by themselves.
