Construction is underway for our rather unique bird house. The girls are using a stone cladding and a shell decorated roof. Thanks to Jade's Dad for the wooden roof that the girls are decorating.

Interesting Insects
Friday was SYMMETRY Day. We set about making interesting insects making sure that they were symmetrical. We started with black paper, folded it in half and then designed and cut our symmetrical insects.
Next we created insects using dried leaves and other collectibles from our environment. Again we had to make sure it was symmetrical.
What an awesome display.

Fractions of Room Three
We have been learning about Fractions of a Set. Today we had 20 children at School. We discovered that half of twenty is ten. When Room Three divided our sets of ten in half again we had five in each group. A quarter of twenty is five.
Pizza Party
Friday was a lot of fun as we farewell Janneke. At the end of this term she is off to Wellington so Room Three decided to have a Pizza Day. We made our own using all of our favourite ingredients. Our Pizza's were the best because we made them.
